THE BIG PICTURE
About this course
The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a professional credential awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). It assesses management accounting and strategic financial management across two exam parts. Across three days, you review key Part 1 and Part 2 domains through worked examples, spreadsheet exercises and scenario discussions. You will build budgets, analyse variances, interpret financial statements, evaluate investment and risk trade-offs, and apply ethics to case situations. Each module links methods to your work context and includes guided practice. The CMA exam has two computer-based parts, each 100 multiple-choice questions and two essay scenarios in a 4-hour sitting. Exams run in the Jan/Feb, May/Jun and Sep/Oct windows at Prometric test centres; scoring uses a 500-point scale with 360 as the passing score for each part. The exam is closed book, and the certification requires IMA membership plus education and experience for award and ongoing annual CPE to maintain status. Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.
