Certification preparation

Elastic Certified Engineer Exam Preparation

A 5-day practical course with hands-on Elasticsearch labs and exam-style tasks to prepare for the Elastic Certified Engineer certification.

40 hours (5 days) Advanced Elastic Stack Training

THE BIG PICTURE

About this course

Elastic Certified Engineer is a hands-on credential awarded by Elastic that recognises the ability to install, configure, and operate Elasticsearch to solve real-world tasks. Over five days, participants work through Elasticsearch architecture, index and mapping design, data ingestion with ingest pipelines, Logstash and Beats, search and aggregations, cluster operations, snapshot and restore, and security. Each topic is reinforced with guided labs on a Linux-based practice environment and scenario-driven exercises. The certification exam is performance-based in a proctored environment, where candidates complete timed tasks on Elasticsearch clusters. Registration and payment for the exam are made directly with Elastic. Elastic owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.

What you’ll learn

  • Plan Elasticsearch cluster topology, node roles, and shard allocation strategies
  • Configure index settings, mappings, analyzers, and reusable templates
  • Implement ingest pipelines with processors and manage data flows via Logstash and Beats
  • Write effective queries and aggregations, and tune relevance and performance
  • Monitor and troubleshoot clusters, and perform safe scaling and rolling restarts
  • Set up snapshot and restore, and apply role-based access controls and TLS
  • Practise timed, exam-style tasks and build a personal study and booking plan
