THE BIG PICTURE

About this course

The AWS Certified Developer – Associate is a role-based certification awarded by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that validates skills in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud applications on the AWS platform. Across four days, the course covers application compute and storage, identity and security, application integration, deployment, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Learners work through hands-on labs using SDKs, infrastructure as code, CI/CD services, and observability tools, applying patterns to realistic scenarios and reviewing design decisions with peers and the instructor. The certification exam has 65 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions, a 130‑minute time limit, and is closed book. It is delivered at test centres or online with remote proctoring via Pearson VUE. AWS uses scaled scoring with a passing score of 720/1000, and the credential is valid for three years. Amazon Web Services (AWS) owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.

What you’ll learn

  • Design and build application workloads using appropriate compute, storage, and integration services
  • Implement secure authentication, authorisation, and secret management for applications
  • Write code that interacts with AWS services using SDKs, IAM roles, and event-driven patterns
  • Package, provision, and deploy applications using IaC tools and CI/CD services with safe release strategies
  • Instrument applications for logging, metrics, tracing, and implement effective monitoring and alerting
  • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and cost issues, and apply optimisation techniques
  • Practise exam-style questions, review rationale, and build a targeted study plan for the AWS Developer Associate exam
