Certification preparation
Google Associate Cloud Engineer Preparation
4-day course to practise building, deploying, and operating workloads on a cloud platform while mapping skills to the associate-level exam.
THE BIG PICTURE
About this course
The Associate Cloud Engineer certification is awarded by Google Cloud and validates hands-on ability to deploy, monitor, and maintain solutions on Google Cloud services. Across four days you connect core services with real operational tasks: projects, billing, IAM, VPCs, compute, storage, databases, containers, serverless, logging, monitoring, and cost controls. You will work in the console and Cloud Shell, use gcloud, and practise infrastructure as code to carry out day-to-day engineer activities aligned to the exam guide. The exam uses multiple choice and multiple select questions, provides up to 120 minutes, is closed book, and is available online proctored or at test centres. Certification is typically valid for 2 years and can be scheduled through Google Cloud’s testing provider. Google Cloud owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.
What you’ll learn
- Create and configure projects, billing, APIs, quotas, and labels to set up a compliant cloud environment
- Configure IAM roles, service accounts, and organisation policies to implement least-privilege access
- Plan VPC networks, subnets, firewall rules, routes, and connectivity to meet application requirements
- Deploy and operate compute on Google Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and serverless functions with load balancing and autoscaling
- Configure storage, databases, backups, and lifecycle policies to meet durability, performance, and recovery objectives
- Set up Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging, alerts, dashboards, and basic incident response workflows
- Use gcloud, Cloud Shell, and infrastructure as code to automate common deployment and operational tasks
- Prepare effectively for the Associate Cloud Engineer exam with practice questions, a timed mock, and a personal study plan
