The Project Management Introduction training is designed for new project managers and anyone else who works in, or is planning to be involved in project planning, scheduling, budgeting and/or monitoring. The training will provide essential knowledge about the Project Life Cycle processes common to any endeavor, economic enterprise, infrastructure, industrial product, social, others as well as best practice methodologies, project management tools and techniques for their management.

This course will follow the guidelines established by the Project Management Institute (PMI) ® and their Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) ®, 6th Edition.The course will provide the learners with the ability to apply project management best practices in initiating, planning, executing, and closing a project. During the workshop sessions, participants will develop a project charter, perform a stakeholder analysis and use it in developing a communication plan, develop a work breakdown structure, and conduct a risk analysis, as well as create a risk register. Additionally, learners will learn effective techniques for monitoring and controlling a project.

Recognize the Project Manager’s Roles and Responsibilities within various organizational structures and at different stages of project processing
Appreciate the value of a working-style personality test, and apply it to build effective project teams
Apply interrelated Tree and Log frame methodologies for identifying, scoping and planning projects
Apply several tools and techniques for systematically identifying, estimating and assessing the extent of project risks, and how to deal with them
Understand classic Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Gantt Chart and Milestone techniques basics
Use Critical Path network diagramming to develop Project Implementation Plan schedules from a WBS
Monitor projects with Milestone and Critical Path Analysis
Appreciate the value of dedicated software programs to monitor projects
Develop a project Cost Baseline for effective Earned Value Analysis (EVA) using network diagramming
Monitor integrated project progress using the Earned Value Method (EVM)
Apply the 'Just-in-Time' / Line of Balance (JIT/LOB) technique to efficiently schedule and effectively monitor repetitive-type projects, as well as repetitive components and processes in 'one-off' projects.
