About this course
SAFe Agile Product Manager (APM) is a professional certification awarded by Scaled Agile, Inc. It recognises skills in modern product management within a Lean-Agile enterprise using SAFe 6.0 practices. Across two days you explore customer discovery and Design Thinking, connect strategy and segmentation to value propositions, and translate insights into market-driven roadmaps. Hands-on work includes research planning, research games, personas and empathy mapping, journey mapping, story mapping, and shaping features in solution context. The APM exam has 60 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes, with a 75% pass mark. It is web-based, closed book, and delivered via the SAFe Community Platform. Certification is valid for one year and renewed annually through the SAFe Community Platform membership. Scaled Agile, Inc. owns the certification scheme. Teams create two personas, an empathy map, and a research plan using hypotheses and research games. They define measurable learning outcomes to validate assumptions in the next iteration.

Participants build a market-driven roadmap from prioritised Features and a story map for a selected segment. They draft PI Objectives and visualise flow on an ART Kanban to plan near-term delivery.
