Professional skills
Lean Green Belt
A 5-day course on Lean and DMAIC where you map value streams, analyse data, run simulations, and practise exam-style questions daily.
THE BIG PICTURE
About this course
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a professional certification awarded by APMG International. It recognises practitioners who can lead and deliver improvement projects using Lean thinking and the DMAIC method. Over five days you build practical capability in Lean principles, value stream mapping, data collection and analysis, root cause techniques, solution design, and sustaining control. You will work hands-on with a case process, run simulations, use basic statistics and control charts, and create project artefacts including a charter, SIPOC, VSM and control plan. The certification exam is set and administered by APMG International. Candidates arrange their exam through APMG International or an APMG Accredited Training Organisation; this course provides revision and booking guidance. Exam purchase and scheduling are separate from the training. APMG International owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.
What you’ll learn
- Explain Lean principles, the types of waste and how flow and pull improve performance
- Scope and charter an improvement project using VOC, CTQ, SIPOC and problem statements
- Map current and future state value streams and quantify lead time, WIP and takt
- Plan data collection, summarise data, check measurement systems and estimate capability
- Analyse variation and root causes using graphs, Pareto, correlation and basic hypothesis tests
- Design and pilot improvements using 5S, visual management, error-proofing and pull
- Build control plans, select SPC charts and set up visual controls to sustain gains
