Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
A 4‑day course where you map aspects, set objectives, plan controls and measure performance to build and improve an ISO 14001 EMS.
THE BIG PICTURE
About this course
ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Organisations can be certified to ISO 14001 by accredited certification bodies following an audit; ISO publishes the standard but does not carry out certification for organisations or individuals. Over four days you work through the ISO 14001 clauses using practical tools: aspect–impact assessment, legal and other compliance obligations, risk and opportunities, objectives and KPIs, operational controls and emergency preparedness, monitoring and measurement, internal audit concepts and management review. Hands‑on sessions include building an aspects register, mapping controls, drafting audit checklists, and planning corrective actions, with daily practice questions to check understanding. There is no single personal certification exam for ISO 14001. If you plan to pursue an auditor qualification (for example via schemes such as CQI and IRCA or Exemplar Global), you must follow that scheme’s specific course and assessment requirements with an approved provider. The awarding body owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.
