About this course
The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is a foundational Scrum credential awarded by Scrum Alliance. It recognises understanding of the Scrum framework and the Scrum Master’s role in fostering empiricism and team effectiveness. Across two days (09:00–17:30 with breaks), you will work through the Scrum roles, events, artefacts and commitments, and practise servant leadership, facilitation and coaching. Activities include team simulations, event facilitation drills, backlog exercises and realistic scenarios, with exam-style question practice built in. To earn the CSM, you must complete a Scrum Alliance‑approved course and then pass the online CSM test. The test has 50 multiple‑choice questions, 60 minutes, and a passing score of 74% (37/50). Certification is valid for two years and renewal requires Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and a renewal fee. Scrum Alliance owns the certification scheme.
