THE BIG PICTURE
About this course
The IPMA four-level certification scheme (Levels A–D) is a competence-based pathway awarded by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) through its national certification bodies. It is aligned to the IPMA Individual Competence Baseline (ICB4) across People, Practice and Perspective domains and recognises capability from associate to senior leadership levels. Over three days you review ICB4, map your experience to competence elements, and develop the core artefacts you are likely to present or discuss during assessment. You will work through stakeholder, schedule, risk, quality and governance scenarios, complete evidence-mapping tasks, and tackle timed knowledge questions similar in style to those used at Level D. Certification is applied for with the relevant national IPMA certification body. Level D commonly involves a knowledge-oriented examination, while Levels C and B require documented experience and a competency assessment that can include application evidence and an interview; Level A focuses on programme/portfolio leadership evidence. Specific processes and formats vary by country; candidates in the USA apply via the applicable IPMA certification body. International Project Management Association (IPMA) owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.
