About this course
DevOps Foundation is an entry-level certification that validates a broad understanding of DevOps principles, culture and practices, awarded by DevOps Institute. Across two days, the course covers culture and collaboration, value stream thinking, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, testing and release practices, measurement and observability, and DevSecOps. Learners take part in practical activities such as value stream mapping and pipeline design, with guided discussions and exam-style question drills. The certification exam is a 60‑minute, closed‑book test with 40 multiple‑choice questions and a 65% pass mark. It is delivered online with remote proctoring through the awarding body’s exam platform. Put it into practice
Facilitated workshop to produce a value stream map for a sample product or service, identifying waste and delays. Teams propose three targeted improvements and define simple leading and lagging metrics.

Group design exercise to blueprint a CI/CD pipeline for a given scenario, including stages, quality gates, IaC integration and key metrics. Teams present trade-offs and risks for peer feedback.

How long is the course?
