THE BIG PICTURE

About this course

Lean Six Sigma certification recognises practical capability to improve processes by reducing waste and variation. The certification is awarded by APMG International across levels commonly known as Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt. Across three days you work through the DMAIC framework, combining Lean concepts with Six Sigma methods. You will map processes, gather and analyse data, identify root causes, design improvements, and plan controls. Each day includes worked examples, team exercises, and exam‑style question practice. Exams for Lean Six Sigma are arranged with APMG International or an APMG Accredited Training Organisation. You choose the appropriate level (Yellow, Green or Black Belt) and book the exam separately; guidance on selection and booking is provided during the course. APMG International owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.

What you’ll learn

  • Explain Lean principles and identify the eight wastes in a given process
  • Define improvement projects using VOC, CTQs, SIPOC and clear problem statements
  • Plan measurement: select data types, sampling approaches and operational definitions
  • Interpret basic charts and statistics to find patterns and variation sources
  • Apply root cause techniques (Pareto, cause–effect, 5 Whys) to analyse issues
  • Design and prioritise improvements using Lean tools, error proofing and pilots
  • Create control plans, visual controls and monitoring to sustain gains
  • Practise exam-style questions and build a personal study plan for the chosen APMG level
